Punch Art Cardinal

I love looking at all of the punch art online. I don't have any of the Stampin' Up! punch sets, but if I can find out the size of a punch or a similar shape, then I can reproduce it using my Cricut Expression.

I saw a card on Pinterest of a punch art Cardinal sitting on a stamped branch and, of course, fell in love with it. I searched Hobby Lobby and Michael's yesterday looking for a stamp of a branch and had no luck. I came across the Cricut Cuttables Stamp Sheets at Michael's, I have never used this or seen any posts about anyone using this, so I thought I would give it a try.

I used My Cut Search to see what cartridges had branches on them. After looking through all of my options, I decided to use Create a Critter.

I then went to searching the internet on punch art and the dimentions on making a punch art Cardinal. I finally found some directions at Stamping Smiles. Here is what I ended up with.

Recipe:
Stamped Branch - Create a Critter cut at 5"
Clouds - Create a Critter cut at 2", 2.5", 3" (I used the negative cut as a stencil, and used white ink)
Bird Eye (black part) - Bloom - button #4 (shift) - cut at 3.5"
Bird Body - George & Basic Shapes - Cicle cut at 1.75"
Bird Wing - George & Basic Shapes - Circle cut at 1" (folded in half)
Bird Tail - George & Basic Shapes - Heart (x2) cut at 1.25"
Bird Beak - George & Basic Shapes - Square cut at 0.5"
Bird Eye - white gel pen

I LOVE how this turned out!!!

Thanks for looking,
Melissa
