Craft Room

My craft room has come a long way since I first started crafting … I used to just have a 6 foot table, and it was more than enough. Needless to say, my crafting has really grown.

I took these pictures after Christmas. It took an entire weekend to get it cleaned up after my holiday crafting. Needless to say, it is a mess again.

I have had this new set up for almost a year. My sister took me to IKEA in Chicago the end of April 2015. I am from a small rural community and driving to Chicago petrified me to death. Thankfully, my sister used to live up there and offered to drive. Not to mention it was a great "sister outing". I was on a mission that day and didn't really look around IKEA that much. It was a 3 hour drive (one way), and I wanted to get my stuff and get it home to start putting together.

My craft room is a very small bedroom in our home. Maybe 9' x 13'. All of my shelving is from Menards. I don't have a picture of the other wall, which has my TV, a small section of shelving, my oldest grand-daughters desk, and 18 sets of the Sterilite 13" x 13" 3-drawer sets that contain a lot of my different papers (paper storage).

I really love creating in my room now.

A Warm Hello

As I have mentioned before I have some friends who are missionaries in Haiti. I send them cards to send to their supporters. I try to always do something different with each batch that I send.

For this card I found a map of Haiti that I uploaded to Design Space.

Just Bee Cause

I fell in love with the card when looking through the booklet! I did some inking to make the honeycomb look a little more "realistic", and some more on the wings of the bees.

Miss You

This is a card I made for some friends who are missionaries in Haiti. I miss them like crazy, but we are lucky with technology we have now a days and we FaceTime often. I still like to send them cards (because they love to receive mail).

Valentine's Day - 3

Another Valentine's Day card. This is from the new Cricut All Occasion Box Cards cartridge. I love this cartridge and am in the process of making them all. I love that you can mix and match the card base and the front banner.

This card looked like a Valentine's Day card, as opposed to a "Miss You" card.

I do not have this cartridge linked to my Design Space account yet, so I used my Expression to make it. When using your Expression, you cut all parts and pieces at 5.5". Make sure you have the Material Saver/Paper Saver button off in order to score correctly.

Valentine's Day - 1

Valentines for my Grand-daughter's kindergarten class. This is a Make it Now in Cricut Design Space. I backed mine with red or pink card stock just to make them a little more sturdy.

Stampin Up! Happy Home

Hello friends. Yes, I am still crafting, but unfortunately not as much as I used to be able to.

I am now a Grandmother to 3 girls (5 yrs, 18 mos & 3 mos), 2 of which live with me full time. I love them all dearly, but they do not leave me much time for my blog (especially the 18 month old). I am going to try to post a little more often, but I can't guarantee anything (sorry).

Here is a card I made using the new Happy Home stamp set by Stampin Up! This set contains three separate scene stamps that I combined into one. I am still working on my inking/coloring, so it is not perfect my any means, but I love it just the same.

A2 card (Wild Wasabi)
Basic Black mat 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Whisper White mat 5 1/4" x 4"
