Pumpkin Card

I totally scraplifted this card from
The Cutting Cafe (http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com) and
Kreative Korner By Kelly (http://kreativekornerbykelly.blogspot.com/).
When I saw this card I just had to make one. It is so adorable.

So, here is my version of it (of course created on the Gypsy):

Recipe:
Pumpkin - Mini Monsters - cut at 3.75" x 6" (real dial size)
Stem - Mini Monsters - cut a 2.89" x 5.9"
Spiders - Doodlecharms - cut at 1.47" x 1.10"
CuttleBug folders - Swiss Dots & Distressed Stripes

Birdhouse & Bird Card

I just got the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cartridge and just had to make this little bird and birdhouse. After the birdhouse was glued together I ran it through my CuttleBug. I really like the effect.

Recipe:
A2 card
Birdhouse - 4.75"
Bird - 1.5"
Cuttlebug Folders - Birds and Swirls & Victoria

Thinking of You

This card was one of my "just playing" creations. I'm not entirely sure I like it, but decided to post it anyway. This was all created on the Gypsy.

Recipe:
Card - Just Because Cards - 10" x 7" (real dial size)
Sunflower window - Just Because Cards - 2.9" x 3"
Layers: Sunflower (and corresponding layers) - 1.19" x 4.5"
Thinking of You (shadow) - Gypsy Wanderings - 3.74" x 2"
Thinking of You - Gypsy Wanderings - 3.62" x 2"
Ok, the "O" in the word "of" was a flower which didn't really work with my sunflower card, so I used the layer of the sunflower to cover the the "O/flower" in the word "of" and welded that to the saying, and then layered it up and popdotted it off of the card. I also used some chalks to "dirty" it up a little.

Thanks for looking.

1st Day of School

Friday was my nephews first day of school. He is attending Small Wonders which is a pre-kindergarden program. He was so excited. I think I will frame it before I give it to him.

Recipe:
Crayons (Potpourri Basket) cut at 2"
Pencil (Potpourri Basket) cut at 1"
Bus (Potpourri Basket) cut at 1.8"
Title (Plantin SchoolBook) cut at .9"

I loved making these crayons - they were so much fun!

Trick or Treat .....

Sorry I haven't posted any projects lately. I just haven't had as much time in the craft room as I would like too. I am working on "trick or treat" treat bag toppers using the Pumpkin Carvings cartridge. I only get 10 to 15 trick or treaters, so this isn't a huge undertaking, but I wanted to get a start on them and not be rushed at the last minute. Plus I am trying to use all of the cute pumpkin faces so they won't all be alike. So, keep an eye open for these treat bags.

On a brighter note.... my bank account is all straightened out again and I just got my new debit card in the mail. I'm still shopping for a credit card (which I really don't want). Not sure whether to go with the prepaid ones or a regular credit card .... decisions, decisions .....

Hope everyone has a great week!!!

What a week!!!

What a week! It feels like forever since I've been in my craft room.

I went to Meijer's this week and picked up a few things.
1. A pack of 12 x 24 mats
2. Pumpkin Carvings Cartridge
3. Mini Monsters Cartridge
4. Tweezer Bee's (I have been looking all over for these and was very surprised to find them at Meijer's of all places).

I was so excited to find all of these things (in 2 trips to Meijer). I never knew they had a craft section until my friend Rhonda told me about it. Not to mention they price match. So, since JoAnn's had cartridges on sale this week I was able to get Mini Monsters on sale.

On Friday I got a call from my bank that someone had tried using my debit card to purchase a trip to Spain, so they froze my account. I was completely shocked. The bank cancelled my card and is reissuing a new one. Hopefully this charge will fall off my account in a couple of days and I will have access to my money again.

I learned a lesson - - even though my debit card says it is a Visa, I don't have the same protection as I would if it were an actual Visa credit card. I had gotten rid of all of my credit cards a couple of years ago and was so pleased with myself for spending within my means by using my debit card. Needless to say after all of this, I'm researching getting a credit card again.

I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!!!
